Dental bonding is a restorative procedure that can correct teeth that are chipped, cracked, discolored, or misaligned.
How Does It Work?
If you are a candidate for dental bonding, we will prepare your tooth by gently etching the surface then applying a bonding solution. Once the solution has set, we will apply and sculpt a tooth-colored resin to your tooth. After the resin has set, we will continue to trim, smooth, and polish your restoration until it blends with your natural smile.
Considerations For Bonding
Dental bonding can often be completed within a single office visit and can vastly improve the appearance of a tooth. However, the plastic resin is not as strong as tooth enamel, so it may be more likely to stain, break, or chip than your natural teeth. Dental bonding usually lasts between three and five years before requiring repair.
