If the teeth of your dentures are still in good condition but the denture base material is worn, then rebasing may be recommended. Rebasing involves replacing the acrylic denture base without replacing the denture teeth. A rebase is similar to a relining, except that a rebase replaces all of the acrylic instead of just the aligning. Reasons for a rebase procedure may include:
- A broken or damaged denture
- A weakened or old denture base
- Immediate denture replacement
Whatever the cause, damaged dentures should be addressed immediately. Dr. Carbonell can often provide denture repair procedures on a same-day basis.
