If stained teeth are keeping you from sharing your smile, then teeth whitening may change your life. We offer both at-home whitening and in-office whitening, making gleaming teeth an option for almost any need or lifestyle. Both are safe, inexpensive, and can change the way you feel about your smile.
If you prefer to whiten your teeth in the comfort of your own home, Dr. Braverman offers Take-Home Whitening. This method utilizes customized dental trays that hold a revolutionary bleaching product in place. You will be sent home with trays and bleaching solution, allowing you to get brighter teeth on your own schedule. With Take-Home Whitening, your smile can be up to six shades whiter after just three days of treatment.
For faster results, Dr. Braverman is proud to offer Zoom! Whitening in his office. With the in-office Zoom! System, your teeth can be up to eight shades lighter in just over one hour. As you relax in our chair, we will apply a whitening gel to your teeth. A special light will then be used to activate the gel. As the gel whitens your teeth, you are free to listen to music in our treatment suite. Some patients even fall asleep!
Considerations For Whitening
While whitening under the supervision of your dentist is perfectly safe, we do not recommend it for patients under 13 years old, pregnant women, or lactating women. And while the whitening procedure itself is not painful, patients may experience tooth sensitivity for a few days following treatment.
Caring For Your Smile
After whitening, it is important that you take care of your new smile. This includes brushing and flossing, as well as avoiding foods, drinks, and habits that can stain your teeth. Some of these include:
- Coffee, tea, or colored soft drinks
- Highly pigmented foods such as mustards and curries
- Red wine or berries
- Tobacco products
